Bio:
1997-98: His 1st season of major-junior hockey,
tied Vincent Lecavalier for 1st on the team and 5th in
the league in points (115) … Also ranked 1st on the team
in assists (82).
1998-99: Ranked 3rd in the QMJHL in assists (92)
and 4th in points (131) … Finished 1st on the team in
assists, points and 2nd in goals (39) … In 9 games, led
the team in playoff assists (12), points (21) and tied
for 1st in goals (9).
1999-2000: Captured the Memorial Cup with
Rimouski and was named Canadian Hockey League Player of
the Year, QMJHL League Most Valuable Player, QMJHL
Playoff MVP and Memorial Cup Tournament MVP … Also
captured the CHL’s Top Scorer and Best Plus/Minus Awards
and the QMJHL’s Offensive Player of the Year honors …
Was named to the CHL and QMJHL First All-Star Teams and
the Memorial Cup Tournament All-Star Team… Was named
QMJHL Player of the Month in October, January and
February … In 63 games with Rimouski, led the CHL in
goals (71), assists (115) and points (186) … Recorded
the highest QMJHL point total since Yanic Perrault of
Trois-Rivieres in 1990-91 … In 12 playoff games, led the
